LOVERLY TO MEET YOU
About Elizabeth Akers
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Elizabeth Akers fell in love with the performing arts at a young age—starting dance classes at just three years old and expanding her training over the years to include voice, theatre, and on-camera work. Her dedication to her craft has led her to train with a wide range of instructors and studios, honing a versatile skill set that she brings to every project.
Now based in Chicago, Elizabeth is proudly represented by Debby Kotzen and Isabella Weiss at NV Talent across theatre, voiceover, and on-camera work. She holds a BA in Musical Theatre (summa cum laude) from North Central College.
Elizabeth is also passionate about arts accessibility and community engagement, and currently serves as the Outreach Volunteer for The Beautiful City Project, led by David Fiorello.
Most recently, she appeared with Actors Theatre of Indiana in She Loves Me, performing in the ensemble and understudying the role of Amalia. She also participated in the development of a new TYA musical, Kannon Gets the Wiggles, which culminated in a successful staged reading at the Carmel Public Library.
Other professional highlights include performing in the first regional production of Renascence—a gorgeously captivating musical by Carmel Dean (Broadway music director for If/Then and American Idiot) and Tony nominee Dick Scanlan. She also helped bring Mill Girls, a new musical by Jess McLeod (former Hamilton Chicago director), Diana Lawrence, and Samantha Beach, to life in a developmental workshop. Elizabeth can be heard on the show's EP, available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major platforms.
When she’s not on stage or behind the mic, Elizabeth is probably rewatching New Girl, practicing her one-woman production of The Phantom of the Opera, cuddling with her shih tzu pup Colby Jack, or chatting on the phone for hours with her best friend—her younger sister.
